4:15 but they couldn't demonotize you for telling me in the comments, right? I'm sort of oblivious so it would be nice if you told me) Also I LOVE your reviews! You could review any movie and make me enjoy it! You also make good movies even better by pointing out every brilliant detail! You truely are awesome.

I enjoyed parts of this movie, my husband and I love a good murder mystery and this one was decent!
But good gracious could we keep the self loathing, white privilege" ideology at a minimum for a quick second!
. And this is coming from the daughter of a Mexican (former) illegal immigrant! I'm tired of the same narrative, it's getting old and it doesn't need to be slathered into every single aspect of our lives. Does this family own a chain of stores that sell seasonal sweaters. A horse represents water because in greek myths Poseidon, the god of the sea, was supposed to have created horses. When cap said 𝐻𝑒𝑖𝑙 𝐻𝑦𝑑𝑟𝑎, He meant it. Lol 100k dislikes because there was no thumbnail. I was one of them. Okay, so upon watching this video, I thought I should engage in an open mind and watch Knives Out. I disliked Rian Johnson's SWTLJ, because he gave me nothing that I could have wanted. I disliked his path with Finn, where Finn didn't become or learn any Jedi abilities. Samuel Jackson got to be a kick ass Jedi. Why couldn't Boyea get the same treatment? Hell, he'd played the part of a sword wielding teen fighting aliens before, and it was gripping. Where was Rey's coming of age? How or why did she take up the saber and keep it when things got dire, because she had a fantastic contract? How did she become powerful, her enemies beefed her up to create a challenge? I brought up these points, because they are exactly the same mistakes in Knives Out. Knives Out lures in the audience with the promise of a murder mystery. The trailers lauded a brilliant, southern detective, partnering with an urban black detective. I smelled an Agatha Christie meets Lethal Weapon against an Elitist family of snakes. Instead it's Dora the Explorer with the worst southern accent imaginable. If they wanted a Brit to give a good accent, Gary Oldman still draws breath. Hell, Charlie Hunnam would've been a great sell to younger audiences. Spoilers. Marta has magical powers. Absurd magical powers that have no counter balance or weight or even consistency. She pukes when she lies. Sometimes she has a short fuse, other times she has a long fuse. Why? Where? How? Why a little birdie told our detective. Spoiler. The detective isn't a detective. He plays slueth, but he's slow and doesn't lead the detection. Immediately, he takes Marta under his wing as a Watson. Why or how Marta knows a British reference, why a southern detective would know or care about a British reference, well that's simply thinking too much. And you're not supposed to think, you're supposed to watch. Looper had similar issues with a long drawn out sequence where mafioso-es kidnapped the past version of a future version thug, that had escaped into the past. Thus unleashing someone who could alter the time-space continuum, because they knew the future. Very dangerous. Except the mafia captures the past version, tortures him by removing pieces, and we get to watch the future version loose those pieces, agonizingly, because we really cared about the future version of a drugged out mafia thug. This makes no sense, because even removing a finger would simply change the time-space continuum. The future version wouldn't have the fingers or legs to even get to the past in the first place, completely under cutting the tension in the first place. Thereafter you realize that the writers have no idea what they're doing, and tension of the story dies immediately. So when that ending comes, it's too late, and it follows the same illogic. At the end of the above video, Rian talks about going to his fellow writers and asking them to be brutual. And truthfully, they're either incompetent or really hate Rian. Because they refuse to point out the incongruency, so that their friend succeeds and doesn't look like a laughable idiot. That in and of itself would provide much better drama than Knives Out. I could go on. But suffice it to say: Daniel Craig's accent is embarrassing, even more so his southern analogies. Marta has the magic powers to discern the difference between clear chemicals in the same bottles. And she her supposed weakness is actually a super power, because she gets to control how long the vomit remains in her system. Now this might seem harsh, and it could be said that it is so. BUT only if the trailers had been honest about the nature of the movie. I do not enjoy being duped. I like mystery stories because I like to try and solve them. It connects me with the detective. But that isn't the movie. The movie is about Marta, not the detective. Would I have gone to see a movie about a nurse being framed for murder? Yes. Because I would have been going to see a movie about a nurse framed for murder. Then all those plot twists make sense and I think they would even work. Do I want to see a murder mystery that is more about the nurse than the detective, no?Because then it's not a murder-mystery, it's about the nurse. When I get a pizza, I don't want a salad. When I get a salad, I don't want a pizza. When I ask for steak, I don't want turkey. When I get a banana, I don't want a syringe of ketamine. In legal terms, it could be argued false advertising or fraud. Here the mystery seemed to be who was trying to get to Marta after she violated the Hippocratic Oath and tried to cover it up, then no, not really, because she's too innocent to even have accidentally violated her oath while tipsy. If I want magic, I can go watch Avatar the animated series. If I want magic, I can go watch Ella Enchanted. If I want magic, I can go literally anywhere else. That's twice you've duped me, Rian. This one I hold myself accountable, but I'm never watching another movie by you on purpose.

Chris Evans owned that role. Surprised they didn't take a sin of for the subtly of Richard's new black eye when the are gathered outside looking up at Marta. And one off for Harlan earlier in the film lamenting that Ransom was so coddled he could not tell the difference between a real and stage knife. Also surprised there was no Eat Shit/Language outtake. Applying this lesson to writing music. I wish I could find more channels like this oriented towards musicians. Fortunately I love films too so this works and bleeds across the art forms. Oh man this vid thumbnail will be a meme... i know someone will put acrylics nail edits on chris.

16:34 I will remove 5 sins. proceeds to remove 4 sins. I gotta use some of his (Evans) lines against people.

Everything Wrong With Jumanji: The Next Level in Game Over Minutes

Amazing cast. Omg...

The hospital calls Marta to tell her about Fran, because, as Marta stated in the waiting room scene, she left her info with the hospital. It's a small thing, but it was bugging me. 2:19 i laughed to death. It was too bad that Harlan didn't noticed that he wasn't experiencing the symptoms Marta said he would have in the time they took to plan the suicide. Wait a minute that's one of the ' Your friend Steve' girl. At the end of the movie, i just knew Chris Evans owned that sweater look. Can anybody tell what is the background music at the starting 3 minutes of this video. I love the detective in the background shaking his dead as Blanc's donut metaphor goes off the rails. 7:51 but the poor guy in blue did nothing wrong! 😂😂 he stopped at the right time, but the other one continued 😂.

DEFINITELY Chris Evans is having too much fun here. I saw "Knives Out" starring Daniel Craig-the James Bond movies, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo_2011; Chris Evans-the Captain America & Avengers movies, the Fantastic Four movies; Jamie Lee Curtis-the Halloween movies, Christmas With the Kranks; Don Johnson-Django Unchained, Machete; Christopher Plummer-The Man Who Invented Christmas, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo_2011 and Ana de Armas-Blade Runner 2049, War Dogs.
This is a murder mystery in the vein of Murder on the Orient Express-it has a lot of celebrities in it. Christopher plays the eccentric millionaire-among other things, he has a chair with knives all over it, looking like it was from Game of Thrones-and he is celebrating his 85th birthday with the whole family coming in for it. Jamie is his daughter, Don is her husband and Chris is their son. There are other family members-and they are all dysfunctional-and Ana is the care giver to Christopher. Ana seems to be the only one that really likes Christopher. During the night, Christopher is found dead-his throat slit with a knife-and it is ruled a suicide. After the funeral, the police show up at the family home with Daniel-a private investigator-and start asking questions. It seems that it might not have been suicide but maybe murder, instead. Everyone is a suspect with a motive.
It's rated "PG-13" for violence, language, drug material and sexual content-no nudity-and has a running time of 2 hours & 10 minutes.
I really enjoyed it and would buy it on Blu-Ray.

I really enjoyed this movie.
Daniel Craig channeled Frank Underwood but somehow with style. I am very sensitive to Hollywood's preponderance for portraying all southerners as simple peckerwoods. But it was well written, acted, directed with twists and everything.
Good Job Hollywood! For once!
Thanks for not preaching. Im glad hes learning from his past mistakes. I wanna know how many takes this scene took. 1:07 that face 😂.
